“I will put Chaos into fourteen lines” – Edna St. Vincent Millay

Edna St. Vincent MillayI will put Chaos into fourteen lines
And keep him there; and let him thence escape
If he be lucky; let him twist, and ape
Flood, fire, and demon — his adroit designs
Will strain to nothing in the strict confines
Of this sweet order, where, in pious rape,
I hold his essence and amorphous shape,
Till he with Order mingles and combines.
Past are the hours, the years of our duress,
His arrogance, our awful servitude:
I have him. He is nothing more nor less
Than something simple not yet understood;
I shall not even force him to confess;
Or answer. I will only make him good.

- Edna St. Vincent Millay

Skaneateles Design WebsiteWith the hope of looking less commercial, and more elegant, I’ve changed the look of Skaneateles Design hopefully for the last time in a long time!

More content will be coming shortly, including examples of still media and film content, illustrating how this media can be embedded into your site.

Unless you’re already looking at it, visit the website here.

SkaneatelesTalk opens up site to community

Join SkaneatelesTalk to gain exposure:

skantalk.jpgIn recent weeks we have been working on major changes and additions to our local community website SkaneatelesTalk.com. The Wiki project was merged with the blog to take advantage of the incoming traffic and great search engine ranking that SkaneatelesTalk is enjoying. Now the business listing in the Wiki directory will gain even more exposure.

After this merge was finalized we changed the look and navigation of SkaneatelesTalk a little for ease of use. The home page is more of a portal for the website than just a running list of blog entries. Over this past week-end we implemented a public blog section so that now any Skaneateles resident or Skaneateles based business can go in and create their own blog right on our SkaneatelesTalk website. The purpose of this change is to share our search engine ranking and website traffic with our local community. Now you can add your content to SkaneatelesTalk and get more exposure.

The final enhancement that was completed yesterday is a discussion forum. We were looking at several different options for this enhancement and then were lucky enough to find a WordPress discussion forum plug-in. It’s a nice clean forum and very simple to use. It also utilizes the tags that are used by the WordPress system which is great for sharing information with the entire Web community.

If you are a local Skaneateles resident or business owner then go to SkaneatelesTalk NOW and sign up for a blog and start posting articles. It’s free and it will increase your exposure on the Internet.
