Youtube.com nameservers hacked 5/3/08
By: Cary Briel, Skaneateles Design
As of 9:45am EST on May 3, 2008, it appears that the nameserver entries for Youtube.com have been hacked. I noticed this when I attempted to access the site, finding that it was down. Here is the list of current nameservers reported for youtube.com (not likely approved by Google!):
YOUTUBE.COM.ZZZZZ.GET.LAID.AT. WWW.SWINGINGCOMMUNITY.COM
YOUTUBE.COM.NOT.RESPECTED.BY. CALITEC.NET
YOUTUBE.COM.MORE.INFO.AT.WWW. BEYONDWHOIS.COM
YOUTUBE.COM.IS.N0T.AS.1337.AS. WWW.GULLI.COM
YOUTUBE.COM
Update:
Youtube.com appears to be back online at 10:30am.

There are other domain names that have the same server name issue so I’m not sure that’s it.
