Ever find yourself sitting around the living room, wondering what a particular person’s gravestone might look like? Maybe you don’t even know where that person lived or died, but damned it if you’re gonna that hold you back from seeing their final resting place! Well, there is a company out there that identifies with your pain, Findagrave.com. At the Find A Grave website, you can not only search the gravestones of famous individuals, such as celebrities, but also the graves everyday Joes, like the weird old guy that lived down the street when you were 12 in the old neighborhood. You know, the guy that yelled at you for cutting through his yard with your friends. The website is operated by Utah resident Jim Tipton. He started the site in 1995 because he could not find a website that catered to his hobby of visiting the graves of famous people. The site grew to what it is today largely through the help of 350,000+ contributors who submit new listings, updates, corrections, photographs and virtual flowers every hour. Learn more about Jim Tipton and Findagrave.com at their About page. Visit their home page (and search a grave now!) here.
